How Hey Forney works

🧭 What Hey Forney is

Hey Forney is a local guide and introduction service for Forney, Texas. We list businesses and events, and our Local Pros pilot is starting with plumbing introductions only.

Here is the important part: we make introductions, we are not part of the deal. When you hire a provider or any other business you found through us, that agreement is between you and them. We are not a party to it, and we are not responsible for the work, the price, the schedule, or anything else the two of you agree to.

✅ What "verified" means (and what it does not)

When we say a Local Pro is verified, it means that at the time we checked, they passed the applicable Hey Forney review for that pilot: business identity, license status where Texas requires one, insurance evidence, service area, response process, reputation notes, and fit for the program. We re-check active providers on a recurring schedule.

Verification is a snapshot in time, not a guarantee. A license can lapse, insurance can be canceled, and a great pro can have a bad day. We do our checks honestly and we keep doing them, but we cannot promise the outcome of any job. Always use your own judgment too.

💵 Payments never go through us

You pay providers directly, every time. Hey Forney never collects, holds, or passes along your payment for a service, and nobody working with a provider should ever ask you to pay Hey Forney for their work. If anyone does, that is a red flag: do not pay, and tell us right away.

🛠️ If something goes wrong

Tell us. Email hello@heyforneytx.com with what happened. We read every complaint, we investigate, and if a listed business or featured pro falls short of our standard, we can and will remove them from the site.

What we cannot do is act as a court: we cannot force refunds or settle disputes between you and a provider. But we can make sure our neighbors are never sent to someone who does not deserve it, and that matters to us more than any listing fee.

🏷️ Sponsored content is always labeled

Some businesses pay us for extra visibility: featured spots, sponsor slots, launch pushes. Every single one of those is clearly labeled "Sponsored," "Featured," or "Presented by," right next to the content, following our published disclosure standard.

Money never buys editorial coverage, never changes a ranking, and never decides who wins a community vote. A paid placement will never be dressed up as an organic recommendation. If you ever spot something that feels mislabeled, email us and we will fix it.

🔒 Your info

Short version: we never sell your email or your personal information, period. For Local Pros, we do not share your request with a provider unless the recipient and permission are clear. Newsletter consent is separate, and you can unsubscribe anytime.
