Request a trusted plumbing introduction
Hey Forney Local Pros is starting narrow on purpose: plumbing first, one named primary provider, one vetted backup, and clear consent before any resident contact info is shared. No lead blast, no mystery bidding pile, and no public "verified" badge until the checks are actually done.
Plumbing pilot first: requests only move forward after the provider recipient and resident consent are clear.
Not another lead-seller
Big national lead sites often turn one request into a pile of calls. We are building the opposite: a named-provider introduction system that only grows after the manual pilot proves it can be trusted.
Before contact info is shared, the resident knows who the request is going to and what Hey Forney has checked.
Your request is not a marketing list. Backup routing requires permission too.
Hey Forney can introduce and verify records. The quote, the job, and the payment stay between you and the provider.
We are proving response, reporting, and complaint handling before opening more categories.
How it works
Free for residents, always. The first version is manual so the trust layer stays tight.
Share the area, urgency, preferred contact method, and a short description.
Until a provider is active, your request stays internal. Routing only happens with clear named-recipient consent.
The provider contacts you directly if you approve the introduction. You hire and pay whoever you choose.
The Hey Forney Vetting Standard
For plumbing, we record the responsible license holder, license number, source checked, status, checked date, and next check date.
We confirm a current insurance certificate before any active provider placement. Coverage can vary by job, so residents should still ask the provider about their project.
We review public reputation, complaint patterns, service area, covered hours, capacity, and response expectations before routing resident demand.
And it does not expire quietly: active provider records are re-checked on a recurring schedule. Verification is a snapshot in time, not a lifetime guarantee, which is why we keep checking.
Plumbing first
Other home-service categories are intentionally parked until the plumbing pilot proves the workflow. For now, use this page for plumbing requests and plumbing provider applications only.
Request a plumbing introduction
Tell us the issue. During the pilot, Hey Forney will review requests internally and will not share your contact info with a provider until the named recipient and consent are clear. Free for residents, always.
- Your request stays internal until a named provider is approved.
- Backup routing requires permission too.
- No resident list selling, no lead blast.
Questions, answered straight
No fine-print games. Here is exactly how this works.
Is this really free for residents?
Yes. Residents do not pay Hey Forney to submit a plumbing request or ask for an introduction.
Is a plumber active yet?
The pilot is being built carefully. Until a primary and backup plumbing provider are verified and approved, resident requests stay internal and are not routed to a provider.
How do you actually vet a plumbing provider?
We record business identity, responsible license holder, license status/source, insurance evidence, service area, covered hours, response process, reputation notes, complaint patterns, and agreement status before active placement.
Do you sell or share my information?
No. Hey Forney does not sell resident lists. Local Pro routing requires a named provider and clear permission. Backup routing requires permission too.
What if I am not happy with the work?
Hey Forney verifies records and introduces; the agreement is between you and the provider, and you pay them directly. Complaints still matter: patterns of issues can pause or remove a provider from the pilot.
How does Hey Forney make money, then?
An approved pilot provider may pay a flat monthly rate for the placement and reporting, never a per-lead bidding war. Paying never buys verification: trust checks and payment are separate gates. The full plain-language terms live on our How it works page.
"I started Hey Forney because finding a good local pro should not mean gambling on a Facebook post or drowning in calls from companies you never chose. We are starting with plumbing because trust is easier to prove one workflow at a time."
Apply for the plumbing pilot
Hey Forney is looking for one primary plumbing provider and one vetted backup for a manual pilot. The goal is not to sell a messy pile of leads. The goal is to prove a trusted, named-provider request flow with response expectations and monthly outcome reporting.
- Named placement: residents know who the request is going to before contact info is shared.
- Manual pilot: requests, accept/decline, outcomes, and complaints are tracked before we automate anything.
- Response expectation: active providers must accept or decline during covered hours and report outcomes monthly.
- Monthly proof report: views, calls, requests, contacted, quoted, booked, invalid, and complaint patterns are reviewed.
- Trust gate first: payment never buys verification. License, insurance, service area, capacity, and fit are separate gates.
- Founder pricing protection: early pilot terms can be protected for a defined period, not forever.
Apply for the pilot
Tell us whether you want to be considered as the primary or backup plumbing provider. Applying is not approval; we still need to review license, insurance, service area, capacity, response process, and fit.
